What do ya’ll suggest for us folks with big heads? The UVEX Genesis glasses I use now are barely tolerable, and the el cheapo Walmart/Winchester safety glasses are absolutely painful to me. I don’t have any experience with higher grade eyewear, either, but I need some comfortable and quality gear…oh, and it’d be ideal if it was well vented around the lenses and very fog resistant, considering I’m in the (very) humid state of SC.
Revisions make 2 sizes… and its standard issue to our troops downrange… kits come with multi-lenses too
I got a big ass melon and I wear an 8 or 8 and 1/4 fitted hat I have to wear Oakley MFRAMES as they are about only things that fit my head.
Didn’t think of including it earlier…my hat size is 7 1/8. Not quite that big, but I still struggle to find eyewear in my area (and what feels OK without earpro can easily turn out to be excruciating once I slip the headset over my head)
the link i posted shows there large size fits 7.5 + … its what i get issued and i have a 7 1/4 head and a large ACH
I noticed that on their website. Does the large size give you any problems with slipping or movement? Are they pretty comfortable over a long day with muffs on?
i can update u on saturday when i hit the range. i dont wear muffs when downrange so i dont honestly know.
I’d appreciate if you’d do that, thanks.
I wear an 8 or so hat (most baseball caps cannot be adjusted to fit me or just barely). I have some Revision Sawfly large frames and they are pretty comfortable. I don’t wear them that often as I usually have some WileyX ones that I use as normal sunglasses in my normal daily wear as well as on the range, but the Revision are not bad at all.
Dude! You have a huge melon!
Mine is quite large as well @ 7 3/4. I have a pair of Oakley SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0 Hybrid’s that fit my melon nicely.
I have no idea what size hat I wear, but every ball cap I pick up I just open it as far as it goes.
I wear Rydon’s which I like, plus the nose piece is almost infinitely adjustable.

Thanks, all. I’ve got a pair of Revision Sawflys (regular size) inbound from SafetyglassesUSA (they are running a decent deal right now, too…15% off and free shipping) along with an Rx insert and itty bitties like antifog and lens cleaning cloth packets.
'nother vote for Oakley’s M-Frames, try the 2.0 as they have thinner frames to fit better under muffs. I have a pretty large noggin and they fit me perfectly.
I got “fish-tank” issues with Revision, although they seem to be high quality gear.
I wear a 7 3/4 hat and my issue Oakley SI-M 2.0 fit well.
I can wear them from sun up to sun down with no discomfort.
+1 for the M Frames. I’m about a 7 3/4 as well and the M Frames are great. I’ve never used the other brands mentioned, so I can’t give any comparison.
JC
I’m between a 7 3/4 and 8 and yes the M frames do fit well, but i’ve recently switched to the Radars
As long as you don’t mind giving Italians your money, these are absolutely bad ass. They have interchangable everything from super hard lenses, to polarized that can read lcd screens!
The frame actually flexes and so do the nose pieces to form to your noggin.
They are used by ipsc shooters with deep pockets, and by essentially most sport proffesionals that require eye protection. 2010 winter olympic eyewear was rudy project. Rudy project sponsored competitors took home 18 medals.
And the best thing? If you get scratches lenses … they replace them. (certain hardness level lenses that they have are guaranteed not to scratch or they get replaced)
