Extractor wear

Guys,

I believe I’ve read here that using steel casings will cause the extractor to wear faster. Is this true?

This is not a Wolf thread.

Yes but if you want to use it just replace the extractor when its worn.

As stated in other threads, the steel used with the Wolf is softer than the extractor. It would take a serious scientific study to show the reduction in service life of the parts. I would say it does wear faster, again, how much more? I would recommend that if using the Wolf, just monitor the part and if it appears worn, replace it. You should have at least one spare on hand anyhow, even more.
