I am in a position where I stand a good chance of moving to another (free) state in about a year and a half. I am considering getting a SBR, and I would have to go the trust route due to local politics. I am a bit concerned about what would happen with the trust when I move. I performed a search, and basically found ‘consult an attorney’ as the standard advice.
I don’t know exactly where I may end up, but I flat out will not live in a state like California, Illinois, or New Jersey so that is not a consideration.
I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with this, and how much of a hassle it entailed for them. I realize that every case might be different, but I would like to know if anyone has run into a great deal of difficulty. If I have to, I can stick to my current non-NFA setup and wait.
