Ergo grip plug

My new LMT 308 has an Ergo grip, and the bottom plug falls out quite often. It works it way loose after several rounds, and a slight brush of the hand will pull it out.

Does anyone else have the same experience? Any quick remedies besides gluing it in place or just throwing the plug away?

I like the grip, but I would also like to have the plug remain in place allowing me the option to use the storage compartment.

My dad and I have the same problem with ours, after a few rounds the plug just comes off. It’s annoying me to the point where I’m just gonna slap my battle grip back on. Although I’d also be interested in hearing any solutions other than gluing the plug in place.

Mine did this as well. I just threw it away. The A2 grip didn’t come with a plug, I don’t see what function the Ergo grips plug serves.

It’s only held there by friction, I have one on my Sage EBR, I removed it before I put it on the EBR chassis :stuck_out_tongue:

Yup, it’s pretty useless. Always pops out when using the rifle.

If you want/need storage in the grip, battlegrips, MIADs and MOEs are the way to go.

I ended up yankin it out.

I liked the grip till I broke it.

It’s a nice feeling grip but the plug is useless…which makes the grip pointless. MOE here I come.

Same here, I really like the grip. I dumped super glue on it and it has stayed for a while now. If it comes off again, it will get wacked.

I just drilled through my grip with the plug in place and pushed an oversize blind pin in the hole. it stays in there pretty well. I just use my multitool needle-nose pliers to push the pin out enough to grab it and that’s that…

I like this idea… might look into doing this as well.

Turn it around the other way. I bet it is in backwards. I am not joking. Mine would always come out until I turned them around.

The plug on my grip is attached by a small rubber chord so it only fits one way.

I will probably end up cutting the chord and ditching the plug.

Does not matter. Mine has the rubber cord on it. It can be put in backwards with the cord on it and look correct, but will not stay in place for very long.Grooves in the plug keep it in place if it is in the right direction. I have three of them that do not come out now that they are in properly.
