I am looking for a little more info about the new XPS reticle with the ring and two dots.
How much lower is the second dot from the middle dot?
What is the benefit of having the second dot there, how far out is the point where you might use that second dot? I realize a lot depends on the gun and ammo but does anyone have any experience using this sight?
It is for ranging. I believe the center dot is intended for 100y, and the bottom for a longer range (cant recall).
i was 1 of the original field trail folks as i am a big fan of eotech. in spite of the rumor mill’s and the real data form guys in the s/box i see few failures and i am a large dealer.
i love the reticle but it is a games gun due to the aim point battery life, not reliability
i use the 1 moa only with out a hitch for over 9 months. had 1 in march to use. they didn’t ship to dealers till June
the 1 with the circle dot and 2 1 moa dots is for 500 yd, it will do it but not easy
i plan on using 1 with a aim point magnifier at 3-gun next year if i am able to function.
i have not got “onto” the 2 dots yet but i think there is value in sight just not sure how much. after u calibrate it to what it will do with ur eyes and ur ammo, there is potential
