Eotech XPS on Larue LT-110

I just ordered a LT-110 for my XPS 2.0, should be here by the end of the week.

Currently I mount it to my AR flat top using the thumb screw. I put a drop of blue loctite and tighten using the recommended method (hand tighten, the another 3/4 turn). This has worked fine with out any issues. I use a paint mark to verify it has not moved.

When I get the LT-110 should I use the thumb screw or the allen screw? I would assume with the allen screw I would use the blue loctite and torque it to 17lbs?

Is the allen screw as good as the thumb screw?

Thanks for your input.

I used to have this set up, and I used the allen screw. The thumb screw is more for an optic that may get removed or loosened from time to time, but doesn’t need a quick detach. The LT-110 takes care of that.

Check, but it might have some thread locker on it already. A little couldn’t hurt

I thought so. I sold the optic/mount for other reasons, unrelated to its performance. It did work OK though.
