I’m not all that familiar with the new EoTech models but I’m thinking I want one for my 10.5" LMT SBR. I always loved them (except for the battery life) but don’t have experience with any of the new models. Would the XPS be a wise choice for an SBR or should I look at the 553 or 556?

Being no great fan of Eotechs to begin with, the XPS ALMOST has me tempted. It is certainly the only one I would consider, and doubly so on an SBR. I’d go with the XPS2-0.

I’m a EOTech fan. I’ve had the 553 for quite a while now and my first RDS sight. I’ve been fortunate to not have any problems with it. I’d go with the 556 if I had to replace it. They are running on the cheap all over and the side mounted controls would allow you the option of a magnifier if you chose to do so.
I have had my XPS mounted on my 10.5" SBR for several weeks now and I have really enjoyed this optic beacuse it’s smaller and gives you the Eotech FOV. I used it on and off during an EAG Tactical COC a couple of weeks ago and so far has been 100% reliable.
Yeah, I like that! My LMT is currently using a M3 on a LaRue rail but I’ve always loved the field of view of the EoTechs.
If I was going to consider an Eotech, it would be an XPS. That seems to have the best hope of performing.
I’m not ready to spend my own money on one, but I’m hoping one will come around to watch in the longer term.
I personally love the 552 or XPS line. Double A lithium batteries that is, plenty to be found
There is really no field of view with a 1X optic. Using them with both eyes open will yield the same results. I would suggest you stay with the Aimpoint, it’s a better optic IMO. If I were forced to use an Eotech it would be one of the new XPS sights, the older units are a no go.
