I got a eotech 512 put on my ar15 carbine and i am having trouble sighting in at 100 yards im getting groups of 5-6 inches is that normal for this type of sight? how many yard would be reconmended for this type of sight? maybe im shooting the wrong ammo im shooting 223 pmc and 223 magtech.
If you have it mounted on a flat top or fore end rail that is level with a flat top, it shouold co-wotness your front sight post if zero’d properly.
Zero both iron & eotech at 27 yards and it should gropup asd well as your irons at 100 yards.
ya i have a flat top but what do you think is the normal grouping i should be getting with that eotech?
try other shooters,
is your sight tight,
are you on a bench if so what type of rest.
are you shooting it prone resting off the magazine on a hard surface
are you making sure your looking through the dot.
are you using good trigger control and reset.
and the list can go on and on.

ya im on a bench i rest my gun on my shooting bag its very sterdy and stedy. no wind. in inches how much should my grouping be?
With a average AR, w/o 20" Heavy Barrel, at least within a 2" circle
ya i got a bushmaster patrol mans berral with a 1 in 9 16 inch berral. it should still get about 2" ?
matbe not using Wolf, or other Russian surplus, but black hills and the like with print at least a 2" circle at 200 yards if the shooter is capable.
