I’m putting together a new lower and would like a trigger guard something like the POF Billet Lower pictured below (though obviously not quite, since I’d be getting it as a trigger guard).
Alternatively, I’d like something that applies the “more space” concept, but has some uniqueness to it. (Yes, unique isn’t better… but I don’t want to clone my primary build either.)
POF Example:
I’m aware of the following options:
Magpul MIAD with the trigger guard option (run that on my main rifle)
Magpul Enhanced trigger guard (my default option, but not much character)
KAC Teardrop (I like this one)
KAC Combat trigger guard (never seen a pic with this actually on a rifle)
So, my goals are:
Bigger space than afforded by standard flat trigger guard
Doesn’t leave that annoying gap between pistol grip and frame
If I’m not mistaken, I believe Rainier Arms LLC has their version in the form of Modified Enhanced Trigger Guard, which is akin to Magpul’s. Then there’s the Daniel Defense Radiused Trigger Guard, though I don’t know if it’s available apart from the DDM4 itself.
Hah. Yeah, it’s a bit extreme. I would just like something a bit bigger than the Magpul one, and maybe with a little more character. But function before aesthetics, so it’s got to work.
Hm. That’s more than I’ve seen elsewhere. I agree another pic or so would be helpful, but thanks!
honestly i would just go with the magpul trigger guard, if your really set on something a little more “unique” and “rare” then, the KAC combat trigger guard is probably your ticket.
I was pleasantly surprisd by the MIAD enhanced grip’s trigger guard - more room than I expected. That said, I’m NOT a fan of the grip itself, and the RRA guard looks intriguing.
I was under the impression that it is the Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard on the DDM4. It looks the same, although I can’t find anything that says it is.
Have the Sully on mine, too. Does what it’s supposed to - though not very flashy, if that’s what you’re looking for:) Standard warning - support the lower when driving pins in & out.
