Has anyone had communication with Kary from ESW lately? I have emailed him numerous times with zero response. He has promised my product to me about 2 months ago said it would be done in a week, and over a month ago said it would finish up and ship out next day. And I have not heard from him since. Like I said there have several emails sent in the past month with zero response. Any ideas what’s going on?
Last i heard, Kary had some health problems due to his other job and had to spend some time in the hospital. He will take care of you.

How long ago what that? I know it’s quality stuff I just don’t understand the lack of communication esp when he is responding to other people on his site.
I feel like he is ignoring emails. I was on his website checking to see if he put up a post about being sick again, or anything else that would stop production. I saw that someone commented on a post and Kary responded telling them to email their order. I know he may be busy, but as a small business you would think customer service would be high on his list. I guess I’m mistaken.
And things finally turned around this morning. I finally received back an email as well as shipping info. So everything is good to go now, looking forward to the gear
Well, I guess this is one way to find out. My order is a few months over due, with no reply to my email. I hope he’s ok. I’m in no hurry, but a heads up would be nice.
That was my feeling exactly. He did finally email me this morning and said he’s been behind! Hopefully he will get to yours soon
I would use caution dealing with him right now. After receiving some awseome products from him about a year or so ago, I lost some weight and sent them back to him for some adjustments. HIS! promised dealine after dealine passed and then lie after lie started and I finally had to threaten leaglly action (I already owend the belts and they were just there for alteration), he finally mailed me back my belts, NO changes made and I am still out my shipping. I understand people fall on hard times, but the LIES were it foe me. I WILL NEVER spend money with him again.

I recieved am email back yesterday about an old order. He had some bad medical issues that need not be spread all over the Internet but his customer service is great. He halted production for a few months and was unable to make contact but is reported to be back to normal production.
Anyone know their current status? I saw in some older posts, and his website, that Kary was dialing it back. I sent an email with some questions but haven’t heard back. I’m considering his belts but don’t know what he is currently undertaking.

About a year ago I had delay after delay after delay with him and then by the time he finally shipped out my order he used a mailing label that had been printed for another order that was to be shipped to NJ or Philly. It took an extra couple weeks for it to get here once it was shipped because he was too cheap (even though I paid for shipping) to print out the correct shipping label.
It’s now roughly two weeks later and I haven’t heard back from him. The lack of response tells me all I need to know and I’ll be going in a different direction.
Kary and I exchanged 4 emails over a weeks time and then his commo stopped.
I ended up commissioning Matt @ Volund Gear Works for a fairly custom belt and he accepted. 4 or so days later I get a ship notification. Matt has earned my business for a long time, if he’s sewing I’ll be buying from him.
I also sent him an email a couple of weeks ago with no response. It’s a shame too because the one belt I have that he made is top notch. I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere for another one.
I’m pretty disappointed, to say the least. After our last email exchange, over a month ago, and a promise that my belt would ship within 48 hours, I got nothing. Seems like a real nice guy, but thats getting harder and harder to say.
I’m not sure if it was mentioned earlier, but I know he has had some serious health issues. I understand that is not an excuse for poor communication. I’d like to order more stuff as well as the belts I currently have from him are very nice.
I’m sorry to see that he’s hard to get hold of and people have had trouble on that front. He built a belt for me that has been an absolute tank, and I don’t see how it could be done any better than it was.
Unfortunately I’m hearing stuff like this fairly often. Hopefully he resolves his health issues and is able to sort things out at some point in the future. He certainly builds nice stuff but if you can’t reach him, or if there’s serious disarray in the ordering/paying/receiving process, the best gear in the world’s not that useful if you don’t get it.
I went through the same ringer a couple years ago. We exchanged email right away, seemed like a nice guy, then nothing. After nearly 3 months of empty promises I finally received it.
He makes a great belt, I’ve been very happy with it since. I purchased the 1.5 gunbelt, to be mainly used as an everyday belt.
That being said, I wouldn’t deal with that kind of CS again. And it’s a shame too, he makes good gear:/
When I need another, I think I’ll check on of these out,http://shellbacktactical.com/cobrabuckletacticalbelt.aspx. It may not be as nice, but at least it’s available, and without any rigging attachments, as that’s what I was looking for.
