EMERSON roll call- Show me what you've got

These are getting addictive. That “phooCLICK” sound of the wave being quiclkly deployed… Anyone else caught the bug?

I’m actually about to buy my first two. I only wish there was a way for them to utilize Benchmade’s Axis lock.

I’m going to pick up a pair of CQC-8s, one serrated and one non, in the near future. I want to say that I’ll sell off all my old Benchmades then, but I somehow doubt the Axis models will get listed.

I have a Commander that I’ve had for a few years now. I have thought hard about another one or two.

CQC7-A (still looking for a larger version of this pic…)

La Griffe

No one makes a better folder than the Emerson family.

You know how I know that 10-8 thread is old? I posted in it!

Here’s my frame lock Emerson HD-7 shortly after I pulled it out of the box. It’s looks a bit more used looking now. I also have an old vintage Benchmade 970 which is one of the first Emerson CQC-7 production folders.

I really like the combo G10/Titanium scales and I much prefer the frame lock to the liner lock my older CQC-7 had.

that’s interesting. It’s the G10 on one side ant the Ti on the other?

Rob,
I have a CQC-7 Tanto blade, black finish, with wave. Carlos has a HD-7, think of it as a CQC-7 on Testosterone. I really like the CQC-7 and have carried it consistently. It is so thin, unlike my Benchmade AFO, that it is easy to keep with all the time. I have buggered up the tip and dulled the blade down, but a trip to California to emerson and it will be brand new. I got it from osograndeknives.com They had the best pricing I could find. My next emerson will be a HD-7. That is after I buy another 6920, or 10.5 LMT

The Emerson integral lock folders (HD7, CQC12) are pretty sweet. I try to avoid knives with liner locks, so these two are GTG for me.

Fixed Karambit.

Yup, the black side is G10 adn the other side with the frame lock is titanium. When I thought I lost my old Benchmade Emerson I figured I would up grade to the HD-7.

What’s really funny is that my wife found my old Benchmade/Emerson knife while cleaning my Jeep about two weeks after I got the HD-7. She still thinks I didn’t really lose my old knife and just needed an excuse to buy the new one…:o

A Benchmade CQC-7 was my first tactical folder…never use it anymore since Ernest Emerson signed it for me. For the last 4 years or so, a CQC-8 has been my daily carry knife at work, and I have a Mach 1 and a Commander keeping each other company in the safe. I love all of my Emersons…

Super SOCFK:

M-Wave:

Commander:

CQC-15:

And my original Emerson (CQC-7):

Only pic I have right now of the Commander. Customer gave that to me; I need more customers like that!

From the top:
Benchmade Skirmish
Spyderco Terzuola Starmate (they really need to bring that one back)
El Commander
Kershaw Pimp Daddy, AKA the Steven Segal Signature Model

I love my Emersons and especially the wave feature! I have a 2002 Mini-Commander, a first run M-Wave, and a fixed blade PUK currently. I used to have a non-waved CQC7, but I gave it to a deploying kid I knew.

I will get some pics up soon, especially since the originator of this thread said nobody seems to have any PUK’s to show…

Dennis.

ps. Here is what I did to combine the Axis lock with the Wave feature. I have been EDC’ing these for over a year now with no issues. Of course, I just cut normal stuff with them, nothing too Rambo-esque…

Ok, here we go…

M-Wave, Commander, & PUK.

Dennis.

I’d love Emersons more if they were double bevel ground, but I also understand why they grind 'em that way. Overall, I’m very pleased with mine, and I would have even spent my own money on it. Good thing it didn’t come to that.

My EDC knife is a CQC-15.

Emersons are great!

Here are a few of mine …
