Anyone using the Emdom-MM Dump Pouch on a 1.5" Riggers Belt (i.e. Wilderness Instructors Belt)? It says for use on 2-3" duty belt. Just wondering about applicablity to a smaller belt - i.e. too loose or OK? If its OK seems it would be pretty versatile. Of particular interest is the retention capablity of the partial/closed top…
From the man himself:smile: Thank you… I much respect your opinion.
Maybe a little help for a newb? What would you recommend? I’m putting together my kit for a carbine class and plan on running a 1.5" rigger-type belt. I do see the wisdom of your design with a retaining lid. Maybe the EAG? Or just go with the Maxpedition Medium Rolly-poly with the lid elastic cinched somewhat down…
I’m really trying to learn as much as I can from the collective knowledge here. Ya know buy once instead of over and over:mad:
Can’t do better than what MM has already done, but my own personal set-up is a EMDOM-MM dumper on a ICE Battle Belt over a EMDOM-MM CM belt. It works fine on the CM belt alone, too.
We are getting ready to release a MOLLE adapter plate for this exact scenario, pictured below. Shoot me an email if interested.
Also Dark Star Gear has something similar that doesn’t take up as much belt room. Check their Facebook for photos. Looks promising.
The plate and loops are made from 0.12" Kydex so it’s very strong. Reverse it to make the plate (and whatever is mounted) sit a bit farther from the body. Kind of a niche item, but cool for those who don’t like warbelts worn overtly on the body.
Ours is made to pull in tight for concealment while serving as an adapter. Dark Star’s appears to focus on saving belt room while serving as an adapter. Different strokes. Hopefully Orionz will chime in and post pics.
i’m obviously biased towards something i design, as i design it to meet my own needs to the ‘T’
but, that being said - it all depends on what you’re looking for - something that rolls up out of the way, or a dedicated dump pouch. there are a lot of different opinions here on their utility, and as long as you know what you want to use it for, pick the one that suits your intended need.
lots of good ones on the market - picking one is mostly personal preference.
Another solid idea from DaveL. I can’t thank you enough for the concept and feedback on this item, Dave. Time to stop dragging my feet and list it on the site.
I don’t own an MM Emdom dump pouch myself (yet) but it’s what I plan to pick up for future dump pouch purchases. After reading up on it and talking to informed users who’s opinions I respect - I think it’s a very safe bet.
