Elcan SpecterOS 4x calibrated for 5.56 NATO with the crosshair style BDC reticle (not chevron). This is a great little sight that gives an ACOG a run for its money depending on your needs. The glass and image is definitely appears to be clearer than an ACOG, and the reticle is easier to see, and very effective with no clutter in your sight picture. The adjustable illumination allows you to choose either the entire reticle or just the small center crosshair.
NOTE: This unit was partially painted with Krylon at one point (done by a painter with a great deal of experience). A slight bit of green can be seen on the battery cap, and if you look closely, you can see a slight difference in the gray scope body. I was very meticulous and overly cautious of the removal of the paint. So much so, I did not wish to use any harsh chemicals or methods and risk damaging the integrity of the scope. The scope is functions and is as clear as the day I purchased it.
