Elcan on SCAR H Article?

Okay, in the newest issue of “Tactical Weapons” in the article about the boader patrol choosing the SCAR H, who the hell was in charge if setting up his Elcan? ReallY? I guess they thought the ARMS mount was so good they only needed one?

No link to article = GREAT THREAD!!

There is no link to the article, just look at the mag or let the guys who have the current issue comment…

Okay so,

For those of us who do not have the article, would you be so kind as to describe what exactly was going on?

In the picture it shows a guy with a Mk17 and an Elcan. Underneath he has a Larue QD mount.

There ya go. I was gonna take pictures when I got home but there they are. Is it just me or what? I can understnad a riser but to leave the riser and move the scope back enough for only ONE ARMS mount to hold it? Come on, just center the scope on the riser and move the whole thing back. Or is this a cantilever type mount?

The LaRue mount is cantilevered: http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/catalog/Picatinny%20Riser%20detail.jpg

I thought it might be something like that. Still dont care for cantilvers but its better than one ARMS mount…

People have different preferences for different reasons.

Personally, I try to remain respectful of that perspective.

From extensive personal experiences I have had zero negative issues w/ ARMs mounts.

I know, I was hoping it was a cantilever mount and that they did not just use the front mount only. My mistake…

In fact I have a speceterdr in bound for my SCAR and I have no issue with it having ARMS mounts. This is one of those threads I should have kept my big bumb mouth shut…
