Any feedback, positive or negative, on the EAA Witness in 10MM? Reliability, durability, accuracy etc.

Guy on another forum I frequent picked one up in the silver “wonder finish”.
The slide got battered to hell on the locking lugs after a couple hundred rounds. I saw pics; it was a total mess.
EAA’s solution? Give him a blued slide, because apparently the wonder finish turns guns to a mix of pot metal and glass.
Anyway the fact that their immediate response was “you need a blued slide instead” says to me that there is a known issue with the wonder finish models.
I would therefore hesitate to use one of their guns.
Incidentally I am a 10mm nut myself so this is not out of any “anti-artillery” sentiment.
