Duck Dynasty to market their own shotguns

Duck Dynasty to market their own shotguns. http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2014/01/02/duck-dynasty-releases-own-line-of-guns/

I’ve been meaning to add a shotgun to the arsenal and it might end up being a Mossberg.

Looks like camo versions of existing lineup plus some funky .22 ar pistol.

I’m sure they’ll sell a boatload even at whatever markup there might be.

Whatever puts more guns in the publics hands and pisses off the grabbers is a positive IMO

Isn’t their 15 minutes just about up?

Good on them for capitalizing on their good fortune.

Its actually Duck Commander, the Robertson’s brand, not Duck Dynasty which is AE’s brand. They will have several model of of pump, and semi auto shotguns, 930 and 935, bantams and 500s etc and 3 .22s. The AR Carbine, the AR Pistol, and their Model 702 Plinkster a traditional format .22

Good for them for capitalizing on their fame. I am kinda disappointed though that it is not with the guns I see them using. Every time I have watched them hunt on the show they used Benellis of Browning A5s. Kinda wish it was a collaboration with Browning or Benelli but glad to them making money none the less.

Yeah, those guys were sponsored by Benelli previously:

They will sell plenty of Mossbergs given the price point, but knowing what I know from hunting in Southern Louisiana’s salt marshes, I’ll stick to Beretta or Benelli only. They’re the only ones who completely chrome line everything, and it holds up over time. The guides I’ve hunted with in the Plaquemines (Buras, LA) swear by them.

I am an avid duck hunter. Me nor any of my hunting buddies watch the show. However ,several of my friends that do not hunt watch/follow it religiously. From what I hear, the Robertsons are a strong Christian family who are not afraid to make it known. I wish them nothing but luck in this venture. But guns are a harder sell than lunch boxes or mugs. I personally will not be running out and replacing my proven bird gun with a mossberg . I hope these guns will introduce new shooters to the sport.

I love my Mossberg 835, but I doubt i will ever buy another. Benelli is where it’s at for me.
Would be a hard sale to their target audience, Mossberg is a logical choice for the price point.

I was watching the Duck Commander videos 15 years ago, and am glad to see they are doing well. They make a hell of a lot better example than Teen Mom or the Jersey Shore for the youth of America. As far as shotguns are concerned, my 870 magnum is about as all purpose as it gets. Just about the time I stopped duck hunting, I got a screaming deal on a “fired once” camo Beretta Extrema 3.5" magnum, and it is a very nice shotgun. Mossbergs do not compare well to Berettas IMHO.

Too many people watch TV. No wonder there is so much ignorance in the US population.
