My wife and I were talking last night about what kind of drills do we need to do at home. I have thought about this and here is what I have come up with so far:
Assault on the house
Emergency Bug-out
Deliberate planned Bug-out
Fire drill (pre SHTF and Post SHTF)
Power outage
Bug-in House Prep (Post SHTF)
Can anyone else think of anymore? Are there any comments on these?
I think I would concentrate on fire drill, and home invasion/occupied burglary scenarios as I suspect those 3 are the most likely to occur that need a plan in place.
Think you have it covered. I need to work on the emergency bug out. (In case of fire/disaster) I am currently to slow getting the essentials into the truck
I might add open air and vehicle defense/assault since you won’t always be inside your house.
How about “Bug out house prep” prior to a deliberate bug out situation? Say it’s a localized SHTF situations like a chemical spill or natural disaster forcing you to move. How is your house prepared for you to be gone a week or more?
And with your bug out plans, have you actually traveled the grounds you plan to use? Three ways in and four ways out of everywhere should be the rule.
