Has anyone had any experience with SBRing a DRACO AK? Seems like a cheap way to have an sbr ak instead of going the bulgarian or yugo krink route??? I have been pondering this all day today. I am just wondering would it be a pain in the !@# to swap out rear trunnion or whatever you have to do.
The two or three I’ve seen used the stock pistol trunion drilled and tapped for an Ace folding stock. I’ve been seriously considering it once I get some other projects cleaned up.

I like that setup but I can’t justify the extra $$ when the Ace folder on my Saiga makes it pretty compact already, plus I get the full sight plane to take full advantage of the iron sights.
If it fits your needs/wants though, I say go for it!
I plan to do one. I will replace the rear trunion with a standard trunion so I can use fixed or folder stocks.

I bought a Draco for the express purpose of an inexpensive SBR build. I was originally going to go for the easy route of swapping the rear trunion with an underfolder, but I eventually decided on a skeleton sidefolder. Now I just need to find a decent AK 'smith to swap the trunions and weld up the old rivet holes, get the Form 1 done and ship it off.
I would personally go with an East German sidefolder on the Draco.

I agree ACE folder and AR buttstocks just don’t do it for me on AKs.
Cheapest and easiest route is an underfolder, since it uses the same rivet pattern as the pistol rear trunion. I’m going to use a triangle sidefolder on mine.
