DPMS 308 AP4 barrel to a Fulton 16" barrel with rifle length gas tube?

I’d like to swap out the barrel in my new 16" 308 DPMS AP4 carbine with a new Fulton armory 16" or 18.5" barrel. Fulton claims all their 16" and 18.5" barrels are made to use “Rifle Length Gas Tube for Reliability, Accuracy & Durability”. Huhh?..is this going to swap out and work right?

Am I to understand that it’s just a matter of simply yanking out the factory 16" DPMS 308 carbine length barrel and gas tube with its .750" A2 FSB gas block… and replacing it all with a 16" Fulton Barrel, rifle length gas tube, and a new .936 gas block?

Is that going to work as simple as it sounds…and reliably?
