In general, Israelis are pretty damn good at inventing new platforms, I wonder how this one will turn out? I can’t see how this “improvement” will do anything an M4 can’t do other than increase suppression per soldier. For sporting purposes it looks fun but I just can’t see it as a viable battle rifle. It comes off as a bastard step-child of the M249 and a M4.
ETA:
This is exactly what Arsenal should have done with their double barrel 1911 (if they truly insist on doing it in the first place.:bad:)
Guys guys guys…you are missing the obvious engineering marvel behind this system. What the Israelis have done is create a side-by-side real world test platform weapon system, where one barrel an action is DI, the other Piston. This way they can have a do in the fight as to which system is better once and for all! Geez, y’all be acting like a bunch of rookies, this is easy JK
What would truly be baller would be a 4 barrel with the following configuration:
1st barrel 5.56 mm DI
2nd barrel 5.56 mm piston
3rd barrel 7.62 DI
4th barrel 7.62 Piston
Who’s the king now?
Oh and it should have Gov’t profile barrels so that you can have a Glock Masterkey…you guessed it one barrel gets a Glock .45The other…a Glock 9 mm
That would be the be all end all configuration. It would be fielded by Israeli Special forces, and would end all debates in one rifle!
Only kidding of course…this is truly the most full metal retard I have ever seen
