Does there really need to be a thread on EVERY shooting in this forum?

I’d like to call for a moratorium on needing a thread for every shooting that happens to get publicity. People die every day, nothing discussed in any of these threads will change this fact of life.

Giving them even more publicity is a dis-service to the gun community.

I’m probably in the minority based on the activity in those threads, but frankly I’m sick of seeing them.

Agreed

Word up!! I no longer really get interested enough in these events. Unless the cop has an LPGTQBVO on his gun. Then we need two threadS!!! :shout:

I would like to read them because they always make me consider “What If?”
I’m much more relaxed and willing to give it a minute now than I was 20 years ago. I look around a bit before getting out of the Truck and walking through almost any door, but especially the Bank.
I would say after sifting through a lot of tripe, I learn something from every shooting.

I agree. I find the information here better than the news swill. I use the threads as part of my research into what happened and the implications it has for guns and daily life. But, I do wish there were less of them…

Then I won’t start a thread on ANOTHER killing in Washington, DC outside of a funeral home where they were having a funeral for some people that were killed in a previous shooting.

The Ghetto to Trailer Park ratio demand it Sam.

My double-wide disagrees! Perhaps it is just the denziens of the single-wides?

I understand it, but when you see the MSM lie and omit things about the shooting, how else is the AI is going to learn what the truth is and rule over us later?

Yes, it is the 20 year old Single Wides and those abiding in the Roach Motel.

Agreed… Make it like the Ukraine thread.

All the mass shooting in our Country’s history would pale in comparison to all the U.S. citizens that have been killed by all the hard drugs coming across our open southern border. 100,000 + last year and crickets from brain dead Joe his Commie Party and the fake news. LOL !!!

I agree, in fact i never bother to read them.

While a new thread every time gets tiresome, I have no issue reading about them. Maybe a single “all shootings go here” thread like the Ukraine thread.

Gun violence claims more innocent lives, somethjng needs to be done. There i covered the next one for you.

I would think the Uvalde and Nashville shootings need their own thread because of all the important lessons learned. But yeah, most of the other ones.

I do appreciate it when someone has sifted through the media trash and melted the story down to actual facts and I can quickly get somewhat of a handle on it. Police on here have a unique perspective that I can appreciate as well. So, I think there can be some value because I simply don’t watch much news, maybe 2/3 times a week a small dose of Fox.

I would miss a lot if it was not posted here. And I agree, we don’t have to cover every shooting, Chicago would overwhelm us alone. But shootings they try and use against us, I want to be able to properly defend our views with liberal nut jobs if need be. So it is a bit of a double edge sword.

If you don’t like those threads, don’t read them. It really is as simple as that.

Yes, because they are polar opposites. Like you said, lessons learned.
