Does Geisselle make a single stage combat trigger??

What model would that be? My phone malfunctions on their site, but what about the Super Dynamic? Also, what is the difference between the SSA and SSA-E “Enhanced” model?? Website didn’t really denote that.
Really just looking for a quality single stage offering from Geisselle, but do they offer one?

Avoid the coated version…

The plain version seems to be pretty good.

Why, cost?

I think their SD3G or SG3 is close as you can get to a single stage.

No, ALG is a Geissele child company.

As has been said the ALG triggers are what you’re looking for.

Dang I forgot about that company. It’s his wife’s company or something like that. I think anyway. I watched a video on it but haven’t looked at their triggers at all.

I wouldn’t know what to do with a high quality speed trigger. I have a bill Springfield special.

Cost is a factor. There is the concern that the coating could start coming off affecting the trigger, even though it isn’t nearly as common as it is with the spikes coated trigger.

The summary: the ACT isn’t worth the extra dough over the QMS. I personally have the QMS and love it. Lighter clean break, and the simplicity of a milspec trigger.

No… all the problems with the ALGs, including mine, have been with the coated version. Not sure if they got away from the stupid oversized pins on the ACT… not using those helped some of the guys get their guns to function properly.

The QMS on the other hand appears to be pretty good for guys.

Markm, correct me if I am wrong I believe they fixed that issue. My ACT came with standard sized pins

I think they did, but my ACT still is jookie with the Standard pins installed. Stiff to put on safe when the bolt is locked back. Symptoms have been worse for other guys.

I still run it because I paid for the piece of crap. I just run it on an old beater gun.

People tell me to send it back to Brownells, but it’s not worth my time. It’s functional… I just wouldn’t buy it if I had it to do over again.

I guess I got lucky because mine runs smooth. No complaints yet. Only if my department would allow me to run a SSA I would. The ACT is my only option.

Check out the VTAC super V

The enhanced models are about 1 pound lighter through out the pull from the non-enhanced. The trigger spring is the difference. The enhanced models are marketed for DMR use, while the regular SAA SDC are marketed for general carbine use. All of this info is available in their site. The SSA also has certification from USSOCOM. SSA, SSA-E, and the Dynamic variants are all two-stage triggers. The VTAC Super V is the only single stage trigger I know of that is marketed as a combat trigger.

Is the VTAC trigger the 3G trigger with heavier springs or is it a completely different trigger ?

Yeah… you got a good one. You should have seen how bad my trigger pull was… in addition to the other nasty side affects.

It was so creepy, It looked like a two stage. It’s smoothed out a lot since.

If it had that much creep it the defeated the purpose of the ACT. I only wish my department would allow me to go with a SSA.

That SSA is the cat’s ass. Yeah… we originally installed the ACT in a buddies gun… he ordered an SSA the next day.

I put it in my gun and it smoothed out…

Have a QMS and SSA. I couldn’t ask for better triggers (for my applications, that is).

Almost went with the ACT, but prior experience with Spike’s NiB-coated trigger had kinda taken the magic out of coated parts. The QMS feels exactly the same as the Spike’s, but at half the price. I assume that the ACT trigger would, as well.
