Does a 50BMG count as a precision bolt gun?

If not, I guess I could post pics of my Tikka T3 “Tactical” 308 with threaded heavy barrel…

Noreen ULR 50 BMG

GREAT accuracy, even with old surplus ball ammo. I haven’t gotten to shoot it much past 200 yards though.
KonusPro 8.5-32x scope. Has held up fine through 2 50BMGs and several hundred rounds. Used to have an LAR Grizzly.

The factory bipod SUCKS. It’s just a cheapy aluminum barrelclamp type.
But they charge $250 for the “uppgraded” bipod, so I haven’t gotten around to ordering it yet.

The spring loaded stock is different, but works well.

The company also makes a 338 Lapua AR… But I didn’t have 5 grand to buy a rifle with. If I had, I’d have bought a Cobb/Bushmaster 50bmg.

nice rifle. 200yd doesn’t even begin to stretch the 50’s capabilities.:moil:

Thanks!

Oh, I know… But the local indoor range only goes out to 200yards, as does my backyard range.

MOST ranges here in MI hear 50bmg… and then tell you HELL NO, you can’t shoot that here.

One of these days, I’ll see if a farmer will let me just shoot across his field.

It does if it’s one of these:

LOL NICE

The BMG definitely counts. There are a lot of good solid pills that have very high BC’s. Also Hornady’s 750gr AMAX has a BC of 1.05 which is great for an off the shelf pill.

EDIT: Wait did you say indoor? That makes my organs hurt.

Yup! 50, 100, and 200 yard indoor rifle ranges. Big concrete tubes underneath the shop, with dirt at the far end. And they LOVE it when I bring the BMG along, as it’s fun to see people’s reactions to the noise.

The sound IS louder down there, but not as bad as you might think.

What’s the magfed botl gun above? Barret of some sort?

Barrett wishes it was…

That is a Desert Tactical Arms HTI.

Give me a call when you want one.

i’ve fired 50bmg indoors several times, mostly at barrett’s test range.

(it’s not something i’d want to do for a living)
