Alright fellas after reading Rob_S diy sling thread I’m inspired to get busy on my own AR. Currently I am running a Magpul M2S sling with ASP plate. I like the sling and the options it gives me. The problem I have is that I am also running a Surefire dedicated fore end weapon light. I also love my light but I had to take the sling swivel off of the front 9 o"clock position to so that the nav lights were not blocked. But with the dedicated surefire up front I don’t have the ability to use the M2S in the two point setup except for putting in on the 6 o"clock sling swivel but my connection is really practical. So I turn to the guys who know way more than I do for advice. The biggest problem I have is how to mount a small section of rail to the surefire handguards. I know there are a lot of options for the rail and front sling connection but like I said I’m not too sure how to mount a piece of rail.
