Disaster Preparation Websites

I was thinking that a thread dedicated to the posting of links to Disaster Preparation websites would be a valuable information source.

Now hopefully the links provided would keep survival and prepping as the main theme and for go conspiracy based forums.

Great idea Phila!

Here is a recent site I found that I will share here. It is from a woman’s/mother’s perspective so this would be a great site for the ladies in your life.

J.W. has a GREAT archive of EVERYTHING useful there, too!

I have used this one in the past.

It has links to other sites also.

Orientated towards women. Info for all though

It’s like the drudge report for preppers.

One caveat, don’t take everything you read as gospel. Helpful hints from the interwebs does not supplant common sense or reality.

Just a few off of the top of my head

http://www.frugalsquirrels.com/ There is solid information here if you can get around the politics.

http://www.enlisted.info/field-manuals/ Not a true survival site but manuals that one might need.

I’ll send more as time goes on.

www.ferfal.com has some unique insights about living in an urban area in Argentina that basically went from first world to third world with the government “monetizing the debt” and doubling the money supply overnight, wiping out most of the middle class.

I read it once in a while and saw the other day where he finally moved out of Argentina and is now in Northern Ireland. I read several of the others already listed above, too.

Good thread idea.

I have not taken the course, but it looks interesting. I did buy the book “Urban Survival Guide” - David Morris, not bad.

www.americanpreppersnetwork.net

Lots of good info. Seems to be a huge community of serious preppers. You won’t get 100s of responses to threads within hours of posting it like on some other sites, but that just leads me to believe that its members are actually busy prepping, instead of just sitting infront of their computers posting on forums about it.

Funny I’ve been there 2 years, and haven’t seen any politics.
