I apologize in advance if this is not an acceptable area to post this thread. That being said, I need input from those who have attended a Dignitary Protection/Personnel Security Detail Course. My agency recently decided to update the list of personnel who are qualified to perform such services and held an in-house training class. This class primarily focused on identifying the various types of dignitaries, their levels of immunity and their credentials. When it came time to discussing actual training, we were told that we would need to seek training from a professional services vendor as the agency will not be providing this training.
If you have attended one of these courses, then I would like to hear from you. I am trying to do the leg work and then pass the information on to those in the agency who are interested.
