Difference between Full Auto BCG and Semi Auto?

Hey all,
Tried to do a search for this topic, but couldn’t come up with the right combination for the search program. Either nothing came up, or everything that had the word “bolt” for any reason came up.

What is the difference between a Full Auto BCG and a Semi-Auto BCG?

Thanks in advance for the intel.

Thanks Thomas.

Much appreciated.

There is a stickied thread at the top of this forum that has a compilation of Knowledge Base Threads. That is a great resource.

Pretty informative page

For additional information you can google the following

Federal Firearms Regulation Reference Guide

and then look at Section IV- Additional Information, Information Concerning AR-15 type rifles 2005 (9/2005)

That section talks about the 5 major components that make up a machinegun. It leaves alot to interpretation(sp).

  1. Bolt Carrier
  2. Hammer
  3. Disconnect
  4. Trigger
  5. Selector
