Yes today I bought a Ruger Mark III 22/45 with threaded barrel and adjustable rear sights and Hogue grips. Haven’t shot it yet but took it home and lubed. It came with with a flash protector and a seperate thread protector but not sure how necessary the flash suppressor is on a .22. Paid $359 + tax new.
This wasn’t an election day impulse buy I just “needed” a .22 semi auto pistol - plan to use in .22 2 gun fun competitions and get a can for it. Kept looking at this / reading reviews about the Ruger Mark III 22/45 and the BuckMark and the Advantage Arms Glock conversion kit and decided the Ruger fit what I wanted with accuracy and reliability. Will see how it shoots this week.
yeah but he bought a garbage RRA AR and he bought it due to uncertainty with the election. I think both his choice and his reasoning were poorly thought out so I wasn’t going to bury my topic in that drivel.
I’ve got the same gun minus the adjustable sights and grips. It’s a great gun, shoots very well. I can’t wait to get my suppressor out of jail and really have some fun with it. If your so inclined it’s pretty easy to take out the magazine disconnect and it makes field stripping a bit easier and allows the mags to drop free.
On topic, I bought a M&P 9 FS today. Also not election related
I put a SS Ruger 10/22 on layaway. My brother left my old Winchester out in his damp garage and it rusted solid so I needed a good reliable .22 LR. I will have it by the end of Nov. My brother no longer bothers to ask to borrow ANYTHING!
I picked up my Remington 870P from the FFL yesterday and then bought a bunch of 12g rounds for it. I have a case of 9mm arriving today from Palmetto and I ordered AR, G22 and G19 mags as well. Everything should be here by the middle of next week.
If I had the money to buy a gun, the election wouldn’t have mattered as much. The problem was that the election was about being able to afford a gun. Now I’m back to figuring a way to buy before I can’t. Basically, I can’t afford to buy but I can’t afford not to buy!
I bought a complete Colt lower and a batch of 20 USGI mags. I had planned on buying more mags anyway and a deal in them came up. The purchase of the Colt lower was planned as well and just waiting for them to come back in stock and for “gun funds” to free up.
No, but I did buy my first AR (LMT) several years ago on Earth Day. Coincidence, since that’s the day it arrived at my LGS, but I drove home with it and chuckled a bit about my Earth Day effort to improve my carbon footprint.
