Destructive Devices Industries AKs - Opinions?

Have seen and read some good things about DDI’s milled receiver guns. But I have read virtually nothing (despite searching) about their stamped guns. I was wondering if anybody had any opinions or experiences to offer with regards to their stamped guns - and to their milled guns as might apply to their stamped guns.

Thanks!

I’m cautiously optimistic. They use a mix of surplus Hungarian parts which while not “correct” should give you very good results

AK operators union just tested one on their YouTube channel. Performed extremely well. The only AK so far to be completely unaffected by the “sand tornado” test.

What do people think about the 4140 melonited barrel?

I do like the Hungarian parts piece.

I have a couple and both have been great. They have Troy Sellars running the production line so that certainly helps.

I would really like to hear also what people think of their barrels, and how they have held up in the long term (example:5,000 rounds-noticeable difference in accuracy? ect. ect.). Haven’t really been able to find that kind of info on these rifles, maybe its because there still fairly new?

Indeed. That said, I know that there are a bunch of 4140 nitrided AK barreled guns down at Battlefield Las Vegas running on full auto and have been for about a year. Maybe Ron will stop by and let us know.

exactly what I wanted to hear sir thank you very much! Wonder what the erosion in the throat looks like on those barrels after a year? and how that coincides with round counts? also copper jacketed ammo of bi-metal import?
