Same thing happened with mine, I just remove the pin as I doubt the battery door is going anywhere when it is supported by the trigger guard
Remove the cotter pin. It is not necessary for your application.
I have the same model holster, pistol and light. I removed the little cotter key pin doodad thingie about three years ago, and have never had a problem with it.
