It would FTF then fire 5 or so rounds then FTE. It was a mixture for the whole time. I had gotten 10 boxes of the steel cased ammo and shot maybe 4 of them. Rifle was cleaned and properly lubed before going out shooting. I cleaned it then relubed it and shot brass the rest of the day.
I used a locally sourced Del-Ton stripped lower when I assembled my second carbine. I put on most of a BCM lpk, with a Geissele SSA trigger and a BAD-ASS 45 degree selector. The parts went together unobjectionably. Then again, a lower is mostly just for holding things together, and it’s either in spec or not. This one sure seems to be. (The anodizing isn’t as deep and rich looking, boo-hoo.)
I wouldn’t say no if someone offered me a Del-Ton rifle, but it would have to prove itself and it would start off purely as a range toy and backup to the (already proven) BCM middy. Part of the reason I’d take a Del-Ton is that I’ve taken an armorer’s course, and know a lot more about the AR than I used to. (I’m not bragging, and I’m not saying I know a lot about the AR, just more than I used to.)
I certainly wouldn’t start out with a Del-Ton for my first AR, when the step up to known, proven manufacturers is so cheap and easy. When you can get a 6920 at Wal-Mart for a thousand bucks, the easy and rational answer becomes “get a 6920 at Wal-Mart for a thousand bucks.”

OH, just throwing this out there;
I have shot app. 200rnds of WOLF steel cased crap through my Stag.
THEN I learned I probably shouldn’t have (by reading some forums).
So I called Stag and they SAID that it would NOT hurt my AR. In theory. Just shooting.
I’ve read about the extractor. I’ve read about shooting the steel cased gunk covered stuff and then shooting brass stuff and having problems. It’s not happened to me. Yet.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies and information on this topic. I think we finally talked the guy down and got him to go with a more reputable mfgr.

Barrel diameter at port = 0.750"
Gas port diameter = 0.070"
Standard barrels are made from Mossberg blanks and the ED series barrels are FN.
She didn’t clarify if all lower receivers were machined by Aero Precision.
All bolts are Carpenter 158 HPT/MPI but wouldn’t disclose manufacturer but said they are US made.
