Dehydrated Eggs

Anyone with experience using? EE just dropped some off. What has your “shelf life” been? Taste? Suggestions?

Added dehydrated eggs to preps so trying to get a feel for them.

great question, I do not know the answer or have any experience but this is something I would like to get along with powdered milk

I’ve used the powdered whole eggs from Honeyville Grain. They taste fine by themselves; I got them for long term storage and for when I need eggs for cooking and don’t have any fresh. As far as shelf life for an opened can just put them in a ziplock bag once you open it then put the bag back in the can and they should be good for at least a year. The shelf life of the unopened can is listed as 5-10 years. I also have some of their powdered milk substitute but I haven’t tried it yet.

The best of the powdered eggs I’ve tried taste like, well, powdered eggs. Just like the good old days:bad:.

Try http://store.honeyvillegrain.com/ovaeasywholeeggcrystals.aspx from Honeyville. Might just as well be real, fresh eggs for all the difference I can tell.
