Decided to mod my GI

I bought a TRP so I decided to use my GI as a guinea pig.

I added a Wilson Combat Speed Hammer, Beavertail and Barrel Bushing and trigger. Also added a Fusion mainspring housing and mag well.

Here is a shot of my TRP…love this thing

Nice, no frills setup.

Did the Wilson barrel bushing tighten things up?

Another option is EGW. If you send them your dimensions they will build a bushing to your specs.

The Wilson barrel bushing required a little fitting, but it has tightewned up the barrel nicely!

That’s on my ‘to do’ list. Man, I just love these Springfield’s…:stuck_out_tongue:

I really just did these mods so that I could better understand the workings of the 1911. However, I took this to the range with the TRP and frankly, it shoots just as well.
