Ok guys I bought a ddxv ez about a year ago. Ive done some research on it and its no longer made does this mean that it wasnt that good of a gun. Or do you guy know how I vould upgrade it to a good ar. Would it be better yo sale and buy a new one but now that they are flying off tje shelfs I dont think I could find one. Thanks for the help

I have a DDXV also and it’s just like any of their other models minus a free float rail.
they still sell the xv ez but it is now in the URG and the URG comes with a rail system.
You probably dont see your model anymore because of the move to the URG. I dont see my 6.8 anymore but i do see it in a URG model.
It’s a great gun. Manufacturers will change their product line around. What counts is that it’s a DD and is made with good quality parts and QC. If one component isn’t working for you you can always change it out. You’ll still have the top notch barrel, BCG etc.
Nothing wrong with your DD. Just keep shooting.

DD has a hard enough time keeping up with demand on the rest of their lineup. So why bother trying to put out an entry level product that has to compete with a lot of other companies that cater to the lower end of the price range? Might as well focus your workforce and inventory on the best that you can make.

Your carbine is quality with a capital Q. Built to a very high standard with a CHF barrel, solid fixed sights, a decent rail to add accessories if needed. In other words it’s GOOD. If you have the money, an Aimpoint RDS, sling, and a weapon’s light would help if that fulfills your requirements.

If you want to make your AR better, make yourself a better shooter. Spend the money on good training classes. You’d be surprised how many people overlook that part of the package. It’s so easy to get carried away with accessories. Especially with the World Wide Web of shopping!
