DD MFR install question

I have a BCM SS 16" middy on the way and a MFR tube to put on it. I plan on shaving the fsb. My question is do I have to remove the FSB to install the new rail? Can I reuse the taper pins that hold the FSB on? If not where do I get new pins?

If the MFR requires a different barrel nut than what is on the upper, then yes, you will have to remove the front sight block to install it.

Secondly, yes, you can re-use the taper pins for the front sight.

Thanks for the quick reply, I kind of figured I would have to remove the fsb to swap the barrel nuts but I didn’t know for sure.

Yes, you have to remove the factory barrel nut and delta ring before you install Daniel Defense’s proprietary barrel nut that came with the MFR. So you have to remove the FSB.
