I have a 14.5 that is pinned with a FSC556 and a MOE hand guard and was wondering how much work it would be to go to a DD Lite Rail 12 FSP.

well, you’ll have to remove the gasblock/front sight and then the barrel nut as the FSP rail uses a proprietary nut.
is it worth it? it was to me…
question is, will the nut fit over the pinned FSC556? if not, that looks like another kettle of fish…

Soo in order to take a standard front site base off, I would need to remove the the FSC, right?
That is correct.
When you take off the FSP pins use a large sized punch to start it off and give it a good solid wack. Don’t use the same size punch or it will mash the pins.
That sounds like more work then I want to do right now. Maybe when the BattleComp 1.5 comes out and I am looking to swap it out I will look into doing this.
Or just build an other upper. 
Maybe a better alternative is to go with a free float rial system that bolt to your existing barrel nut. Centurion arms, Troy and Samson are few to name.
I’m getting ready to order this rail, but do I need the DD wrench to install? Ive heard that some CAR stock wrenches work. I have an armorers wrench and if i can use that, it would be great. The place I am ordering the rail is out of the DD wrenches.

I real reason that the DD caught my eye was the use of the existing front sight with the longer rail, I think I am starting to drink the 12 o’clock light koolaid.
