I have a carbine length DD AR15 Lite Rail on my rifle and noticed the hex head screws that hold the rail are starting to rust. I promptly cleaned the rails with some FP10 and fine steel wool but would like to know where I can get replacement screws. I would feel more comfortable replacing them if possible.
Thanks.
I would call DD and see what the size/thread pitch they are and if you can’t get replacements from them just take them to a fastener store and they can help getting the proper sized ones and the correct grade so you don’t snap off cheap grade ones in the rail.
Aoter option is to clean them and apply some cold blue per instructions.
As a side note-don’t be afraid of some oil or cleaning the weapon and related parts as it seems to be the new thing to abuse and neglect it.
I always brush a tad of oil on external steel parts to assist with protection of same.
Most likely just a little surface rust and nothing to be concerned about (happens to all screws on an AR).
Just clean them and keep some lube applied if it really concerns you.

Appreciate the feedback and will probably just live with the rust and keep her well oiled. Thanks guys.
Doesn’t hurt to call Daniel Defense directly and see if they will take care of you, i.e. send a couple hex screws. Then you can keep the new ones well oiled
I was dicking around with the screws on my Omega rail and marred them up pretty bad. Emailed DD and got a pack of free ones.
Great customer service!

You win the most misleading thread of the day award.
sorry for the misleading title… haha.
I had the screws for my lite rails cerakoted before I installed them. I work in a saltwater environment and I have had no rust issues.
