I wonder why they chose not to mount any type of muzzle device for this video?
Looks like a full size AR-10 lower not a crossover like the DPMS G-2. Can’t tell if it’s a Armalite type lower or a DPMS type. I imagine these will sell like hot cakes.

I wondered the same thing when I saw the video. Looks like it is going to be fairly light weight. One thing I don’t like about my LMT is the weight. 10lbs before mounting a scope is a bit heavy.

I read a review and a comparison using a proto type DD 7.62 and it didn’t fair to well with the competition. I’m hoping it does better when it’s on the market. I want one, but I don’t want to be the Beta tester on another rifle made by anyone.

The old DD .308 thread had a claim of 8 lbs., 8 oz. for the overall weight. I imagine with some dimpling of the barrel (assuming it isn’t Melonited), swapping out their redesigned BCG for a JP LMOS one, and replacing the gas block with an SLR Ti adjustable could bring the weight down to 8 lbs.
Recoil magazine did along with the Seekins Precision SP10 and the Grey Ghost Precision Specter Heavy.
They called the Seekens for accuracy, but hated the rail. said the Specter Heavy was robust and well built but the trigger kinda sucked. They reminded the reader several times that the D.D. 7.62 tested was still a proto type, they did like the barrel nut and the fact that it felt more like an AR15 in your hands while you were shooting, they gave the finish on the upper and lower a “Ho Hum”.
As tested it was 8lbs and 3 ounces.

I want the DD7.62, I’m saving some cheese for it now and actually already have a nice Leupold Mark 4 3.510x40 LR/T sitting in a great mount waiting for these guys to release the rifle in order for me to read a couple of months worth of reviews.
This gun may well send me to the LGS with a M1A to trade to sweeten the deal when these guys have all of the little bugs out of the DD 7.62.

If I read any gun magazine lately, it’s going to be Recoil. They are pretty well put together and fair. I know they had an issue with a former editor, but that’s why is a “Former”, which works for me.
I think they gave it a ho hum review simply due to the accuracy. They did note that DD came back and stated they made some changes to the barrel mfg process to increase the accuracy.
