So, I wonder with so many companies jumping on the .308/7.62 AR platform bandwagon, if Daniel Defense is considering/or even developing their own right now? They certainly have the capabilities to put out a buttkicking version of their own, and probably lighter than many of the others, since that is one of their forte’s. I know I would be all over one if it was in a decent price range like LMTs. We’ll see.
Doubt it seriously for a long time at least.
Keep in mind LMT spent close to 10 yrs. from drawing board to shipping .308 guns.
KAC’s current flavored .308 the EMC has a whole succession(2x the amt. of development in terms of yrs. at least more than LMT’s) of .308 rifles…which each successive model improving upon the last resulting in the incredible EMC.
If DD created a .308 anytime soon my bet is it would be more in the LWRC class of .308s that perhaps in time will become as reliable and impressive as the long developed and extremely well thought out emc and mws are.
I wish they had one already; I would lvoe to get a DD .308!!! It’s on my wish list of things that don’t yet exist; along with a lot of other stuff…

DD’s solid reputation for putting out a quality product is what leads me to believe it will be some time…you never know though as some companies esp. gun companies play these things really close to the vest. The MWS was pretty much disclosed a few years before they intended to release it and for at least the last several years they polled their customer base on specs for it. The EMC on the other hand was from my perspective a bit more guarded until it actual hit the stores. Personally I wish every company who made a .223/5.56 AR would make a .308 AR…As a customer there can never be enough options and it certainly brings down the prices.
I have wanted a .308 for a while but there is a big gap in price and that has a direct affect on quality. I would like to see BCM get in the game too. Although, if there was a whisper from DD I’d start saving now. We shall see.
I like .308 it’s my favorite caliber. Just so happens LMT is my favorite rifle. I hit the jackpot.
