A week ago I had the chance to hang out with some fellow gun writers. Twice a year David Fortier puts on a gather of writers and industry folks where we get together with ammo supplied by Wolf Performance Ammunition and Arms for two days of an insane amount of shooting.
I enjoyed watching the video. What was the name of the company that produced the non-rocking magazine well for the AK, and what are your thougjts on it? Keep up the good work.
There’s no company name for the inventor of the AK mag well device. He’s just the inventor. He’s looking to sell the design to a manufacturer I hear so hopefully it will go into production at some point.
It worked great. I didn’t see any functional issues with it for the two days and who knows how many hundreds or even a thousand rounds that were fired through it. It seems to be a solid design so far. It was using Tapco magazines that had the rear locking lug cut off.
This is something I would be interested in. I happen to have a wasr 10 that shoots great but the mag catch is very difficult to depress with some of my steel magazines. Thanks for the reply and keep up the great work.
