Date on shotguns?

I was wanting to buy a shotgun during the month my baby boy was born. (So excited)! My plan was to purchase my boy a shotgun on the month he was born so I could stick it in the safe and give it to him when he is ready to shoot. (9 months later).He was born last year so am I out of luck and if so I wonder if Remington would engrave his birth date in it for me if I bought one?

Suggestions?

I plan on having an Anvil Arms lower for my son engraved w/ the day i give it to him

oohhhh! Didnt think about that. I might just do that since I kinda missed the birth month purchase. (Kinda busy that month):smiley:
