Does Daniel Defense have a model with a 14.5 inch barrel and the tornado grey finish? All I have found is a 14.5 with a brown finish.

They do not. I called yesterday. I’m really looking for something in a 14.5 middy with a grey cerakote. They’re going to offer that feature on their Build Your DDM4 part of their website. But it’s not available yet.
Since the OP’s question has been definitively answered, I’ll insert a sidebar without guilt…

I’m not running out to buy any grey gear, but I dig it. Definitely appreciate the change.
I’m pretty sure the only 14.5 DD makes is the pinned M4A1, you’d have to custom order from them to get a 14.5 and I don’t think they will Cerakote a custom order…

Why not just buy a 14.5 and have it cerakoted whatever color you want?
Daniel Defense actually makes a V11 model with a 14.5 barrel and a V5 model with a 14.5 barrel.
This really doesn’t make any sense. The V11 and V5 are both 16" barrel guns.
Maybe you are thinking about the V11 and V9 respectively. At a glance seeing these with their 15" rails, I could see how their 16" barrels could be mistaken for 14.5’s.

I could be mistaken. But I remember seeing a V5s (s for short) and a V11slw (for super lightweight). Both having a 14.5 barrel.

Don’t see an option for it to come in any other color besides black though.
I believe those new “s” designated rifles (s apparently = 14.5) were recently added to DD’s website, this is the first I’m even hearing about it. If that’s the case I’d bet they aren’t even in the wild yet, so OP if you really want one be patient.
Good catch, I had not seen these before. I am very glad to see DD expanding into the 14.5" middy market! This ought to sell very well.

I have one of the v11 SLW and like the size and weight. Have not shot it yet but plan on it as soon as the weather clears up.

Daniel Defense needs to add on option on their Build Your Own Daniel Defense M4 section of their website to be able to build any complete rifle in any of the the colors that they make for any parts. I really want a 14.5 middy with that tornado grey finish.

a1madrid, I agree. I spoke with Daniel Defense last week and they said it was coming soon. Not sure when, but hopefully they’re right.
