Couldn’t hold off until Wednesday when the long-distance outdoor range is open so I could get a 50-yard IBZ on the iron sights. My buddy and his new Beretta CX4 were on a range trip to the local indoor facility so I decided to tag along between classes. Pulled my new DD M4 out of the bag and let off 4 or 5 magazines of PMC Bronze 55gr .223 at the 25-yard line. For out-of-the box zero I wasn’t too disappointed…
And yes, I know I need work on the rapid-fire control! 
Rifle ran flawlessly without a hiccup and the Battlecomp 1.0 was excellent in muzzle control and the concussive blast was very similar to the guy with the Colt carbine/Birdcage combo in the neighbouring lane. The trigger was better than any other GI trigger I’ve used on other rifles…so much so my drop-in trigger replacement is on hold. The ACS stock balances out the 16" midlength front-end very well. No issues from the Magpul B.A.D lever either as opposed to the horror stories being experienced in another thread floating around the forums.
Overall very pleased with my purchase and Wednesday cannot come fast enough for me to zero it in and test it out in a little run-n-gun!
