I finally pulled the trigger and have ordered my first AR, the Daniel Defense M4v2. I have shot AR’s(Colt) before, but this will be the first one I have personally owned. It should be here by the end of next week :D.
Thanks to everybody here for all of the great information. I decided on the DD after lurking here for a while and reading about million post(I read through the entire “chart” thread to name one). I am getting a pretty good deal on the DD as well
Does anybody have a recommendation for a good range bag/case for it? I am currently looking at a 5.11 and Blackhawk bag for the range and transportation as it will be stored in a safe the rest of the time. Sorry, I tried searching but was having trouble getting results.
There are many good ones: I like the Vickers mentioned for a two point sling and I like the Blackhawk and Magpul for a single point. Like the range bags, its a preference issue.
Just took ownership of the same stick about a month ago… So far only 200 rounds down the pipe, but its a sweet rifle. My only problem is the addiction to enhance… not that it needs anything. I did not care of the case it came in… once a scope is on it seems a bit small.
Wish I would have found M4 Carbine before I bought my M4. Not that there’s anything wrong with it; just think the DD offers more for just slightly more.
Congrats on the new DD. I also checked out the v2 but went with the v3, i wanted a middy. Im sure the v2 is a great rifle as well.
I also went with the VCAS sling, I like it. I am unpatiently waiting for Magpuls new single point to be released.
