I’m considering purchasing a DD carbine (it is barely used) and I don’t really know the seller.
Are there any markings on DD BCGs that are distinct so I could confirm it was a DD BCG?
For example, my Colt BC has a “C” stamped on the side and the bolt has “MPT” engraved on it. This is my first go around with DD rifles and I didn’t find any previous threads that dealt with this specific issue. Thanks for any help.
well, mine has a bunch of fouling and lube all over it but no, no other marks that I can see. it doesn’t even have the MP marking that my BCM carriers have.
The newer Daniel Defense bolts have the DD logo towards the front of the carrier. You can easily see it through the ejection port. I’ll post a picture of mine in a bit.

It’s all Daniel Defense…bought those from Magpul in black and white. Have the white ones on the car.

That “DD” on the Daniel Defense carrier must be pretty new or only available on their complete rifles because the DD BCG I got a couple months ago from Grant doesn’t have the new lettering. Of course that very likely might not be the case today.
Since I’m sure the quality is the same I’m kind of glad it’s the old style since having “DD”, “BCM” and spiders all over your upper can get a little cluttered! 
Aww, geez… I went DD over BCM on my last 2 BCGs specifically b/c they didn’t have any advertising…

I purchased my DD bolt that has the logo about 1 month ago from DSG Arms. So, yes I would say they only recently started doing it.
