Just got two of my bolts, ordered the DD ones from Grant.

Any way real quick question??

It is

  • Shot Peened Bolt
  • Extractor Booster
  • MPI Tested
  • Chrome Lined Carrier
  • Properly Staked Gas Key

Is it supposed to have the markings on it to say MPI and Shot Peened, just curious. Comparing it to my Colt BCG, it has the marking HP on the Bolt itself.

So does it have to have the markings to actually be as it says???

I have one also around 200 round through mine. It replaced my RRA BCG.

There are no markings on my DD BCG that came with my DDM4. I don’t believe that proof marking is a requirement per the TDP. The manufacturers should be responsible for backing up any test claims as failures due to false claims could be very expensive on many levels. At least this is true in my industry.
