CZ P01 Holster Question/Help

Picked up a Kydex OWB holster for my P01 the other day ( dont know who made it ) . Found the retention is so tight that youll pull your pants up to your armpits before you get the gun out . No retention adjust screws . The area that holds too tight is around the trigger guard .
Question … is it possible to use heat in that area to make it release easier ? Not a big loss if I screw up , but would rather not .
BTW , the more I use the P01 , Im really liking it . So much so that Ive started using it as my EDC now instead of my PPQ M1 that I absolutely love and have close to 4000 rounds through with zero failures of any kind . Also , easier to conceal than the PPQ , for me . P01 has about 900 rounds through it now .

Thanks

Yes, heat can be used to soften the plastic. If you have a heat gun, that would be a good heat source. A candle works too, just don’t let the flame touch the kydex. Keep the flame about 2" from the kydex, hold it at the area where you want to lessen the tension for 10 seconds or until the material softens.

The kydex will feel very hot, wear a thick glove or use a spoon to “slightly” release the tension.

I’ve also used a light coat of oil inside the holster
