I like the price of the DD Omega-X 12.0 FSP currently on sale. However, I find its length and weight a bit more.
Considering that it is a two-piece rail, can I cut it just about forward of the FSB – making it similar to a Lite 9.5 FSP? I can see that the lower rail is attached via three screws. Without the front screw, would the rail integrity and strength be affected?
I’ve seen someone did it before, but a I believe with a 1-piece Lite or M4 rail.
