Custom Quick attach mounts - weld two products together?

Are there any machinists who provide a service of welding one type of muzzle device to a suppressor quick attach system?

Specifically, I wish to attach a saker mount to one of the low flash hybrid style brakes. I remember when Battlecomps first came out they did a Surefire weld as a service, before the factory product, but it doesn’t seem to be something people do on a regular basis.

I’ll bite…why?

I don’t even know anymore. It was a thought spawned from a complaint at the range to I will spend tons of money on a minor fix to make her happy.

The brake on an SBR unsuppressed was not pleasant for the wife, and I thought a hybrid could knock some of that blast down without having to use a 51t mount, and still retaining the sacrificial baffle. I know the obvious answer is always shoot suppressed.

You could try the SF Warcomp or even the SF brake. Neither would be as bad as the BC. Of course that’s assuming your can is SF. This might even be a reason to get a new can also. Lol.

The SF brake is absolutely painful on an SBR…high hopes for the Warcomp.

There’s a few collaborative projects in the works right now involving Silencerco. When they’ll be available, I don’t know, but I think you’ll be pleased when they are.

Since you’re getting a saker you could change the mount to support AAC’s muzzle devices. They have a hybrid flash hider/comp but I’ve never seen one used so I can’t speak to how loud they are.

But the Battle Comp is known to be loud and fails the well done Muzzle Device test I saw on Vuurwappenblog. That thing just wasn’t what it was hyped to be.

How short is the barrel on the SBR? If it’s 10.5 or longer I think you can make due without the sacrificial baffle. The saker was designed to work on barrels down to 7.5 inches and their flash hider seems to do okay performance-wise.
