Has anyone ever made a custom mounting collar that could adapt a standard AR barrel to the LMT MRP upper?

I think LMT tires to keep the MRP barrels in house. A few years back there was a company that was taking factory barrels, removing the MRP barrel extension and installing it on their carbon fiber wrapped barrels. They are the only ones I have ever heard of doing anything with the MRP, but this option is no longer offered.
Spikes has 9mm and .22LR MRP barrels, they probably could do other calibers too.
Interesting, I will give them a call in the morning as I am interested in BOTH .22 and 9 mm conversion for the MRP.
